Porting Your Phone Number Away from Telnyx

Are you ready to switch to a new mobile carrier and take your phone number with you? If your Port Out Certificate indicates Telnyx (reseller), this guide will help you navigate the process smoothly.
For Customers:
- Contact your new carrier: Tell them you want to port your existing phone number from Telnyx to their network. They'll need some information from you, including your Port Out Certificate details.
- Wait for confirmation: Once your new carrier receives your request, they'll notify Telnyx. We'll work together to transfer your number.
- Stay informed: We'll send you an email and text message with the Firm Order Commitment (FOC) for your port. This is the estimated date your number will switch to your new carrier.
- Relax and wait: The porting process usually takes 2-14 business days for simple requests. For more complex cases, it may take longer, and a Telnyx representative will provide an estimated completion date.
Important Notes:
- Your new carrier has a 10-day grace period to complete the porting after the FOC date.
- Only your new carrier can contact Telnyx if they have questions. Please don't call or email us directly about your port request.
