It is important to note that Fizz Mobile currently only accepts porting requests for existing cell phone numbers. This means that you cannot directly port a phone number purchased from Number Shack to Fizz Mobile.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we understand that this restriction may be frustrating, however, this restriction from Fizz Mobile applies to all landline/wireline numbers in Canada regardless of the current provider.
There is a workaround...
- Purchase your desired phone number from Number Shack.
- Port the Number Shack phone number to a prepaid plan with any other carrier.
- Once the phone number is considered an existing cell phone number.
- Now you can initiate a port request to Fizz Mobile.
While this workaround may require additional steps, it will allow you to utilize a Number Shack phone number with Fizz Mobile.
